Our Philosophy

We are a non-profit organization licensed by the Ministry of Community and Social Services.
A Parent Board of Directors governs Pape Children's House. We hold an Annual General Meeting where new members are elected to the Board. Pape Children's House has several committees which help oversee the well-being and continued operation of the centre.

The Financial Committee
The Financial Committee is responsible for creating a yearly budget, assessing fee increases, reviewing and creating monthly financial reports.

The Personnel Committee
The Personnel Committee participates in the hiring of staff, as well as creating staff incentives, and reviewing and revising policies.

The Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee decides new fundraising initiatives that bring additional revenue into the centre.

The Advocacy Committee
The intention of the Advocacy Committee is to establish dialogues with the four levels of government, research grant opportunities, and to connect with other advocacy groups such as The Ontario and Toronto Coalition for Better Childcare.
